About the Artist/Author

-

An artist by nature, I have very many interests and have studied in many different fields.
Those that know me have called me a sort of "jack of all trades".
My main "hobbies" (and there are many) have always been singing, writing, drawing and reading....
Though singing and music are among my first passions,
I began writing around the age of 13. I would write random thoughts, philosophies, poems, songs, etc...
Most of which would be considered dark or even at times, deep.
During that time I discovered that writing was also another outlet for my emotions and creativity, however, I only wrote such things for myself over the years, despite several experiences with professional journalism and editing and a former membership with NAJA (Native American Journalist Association).
Most of my current work is still dark and emotive, I generally mix my own creativity with raw emotion (not always mine)and much of my work is heavily influenced by the dark side, especially vampires and also the pain and struggles of the soul.
I do have a few "lighter" works, involving nature and things, but those are rare to see and mostly confined to my personal journals, etc... Which most of my writings still are. I've also drawn all my life, pencil sketching and drawing everything from people to animals, flowers to fantasy characters.
However, in all my work I find I am usually drawn to the darker and/or deeper meanings, using symbols that can have a variety of meanings if one really looks and that hopefully make you stop and think and maybe even relate to it in some way.
Much of my work is greatly inspired by other talented artists and bands, at the top of my list is Victoria Frances (artist) Evanescence/Amy Lee (band/singer) Anne Rice (novelist) and many "classical" poets and writers, such as Edgar Allen Poe and Jane Austin as well as bands like AFI, Atreyu, My Dying Bride, H.I.M., Manson, Rise Against, Thrice, Godsmack, GreenDay, Metallica, Blutengel, Dark Sanctuary, Draconian, Within Temptation, Inkubus Sukkubus, Theatres Des Vampires, Heros Del Silencio, Jaguares and many more.

In the future I hope to pair my dark writings and artwork and get a little something published.

I also enjoy photography and creating my own digital artwork using PSP and Photoshop. As usual most of my digital work is "dark" To see my latest digital art and photo manipulations, visit my deviantART site at http://lostmemoryofadream.deviantart.com .
I occasionally design flyers, ads and artwork for others as well.

About the Site

This site is made to promote my own personal poetry and art.
The name and theme is inspired in part by the poem 'My Colors',
in which it is realized that,
"Crimson and ink... On this paper my two worlds collide....only on paper can I be set free inside."
All of my original drawings are done using pencils. Some of them are colored in using Photofiltre or Photoshop.
